EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

Having grown up in Los Angeles as a daughter of immigrants, Irene Lee has spent her nearly 18-year legal career in public service, standing up for victims, protecting children, and working to make the justice system fair, accessible, and worthy of the public’s trust.  A veteran Deputy District Attorney, current Special Assistant to the District Attorney, and a crime survivor herself, she has devoted herself to being a shield for the vulnerable – protecting children and domestic violence victims from their victimizers.  Her broad experience in criminal, civil, and juvenile dependency law has given her a full view of the justice system that affects people from every stage and from every side.  She has a proven track record of protecting our most vulnerable communities from scammers and fraudsters through effective outreach.

Her candidacy is supported by the people who know the courts best.  Irene is honored to be endorsed by over 100 sitting and retired judges, along with a broad and diverse group of attorneys and community leaders.  District Attorneys who have worked beside her speak about her discipline and tireless preparation.  Community advocates point to the same quality that has been in Irene’s DNA since she was a young girl as she served seniors, the disabled, and orphans alongside her mother, her ultimate role model.  She watched her mother quietly show up for people who needed support because she cared.  That commitment shaped Irene long before she ever set foot in a courtroom.  This is the same sense of purpose that is guiding her decision to seek a seat on the Los Angeles Superior Court. Irene has the experience, the balance, and the temperament to lead with fairness, independence, and respect for anyone who comes before her.
